Do not eat here. I repeat DO NOT EAT HERE. Two of my friends and I each came down with severe food poisoning 24 hours after eating three distinct burrito bowls (pork, chicken, vegetarian). We are sure it was this chipotle because it is the only meal we shared that Friday. We each have suffered from diarrhea, fever, myalgia, chills, nausea, and vomiting starting Saturday evening and continuing into Tuesday morning (severe abdominal bloating is keeping me up at 3:30 am). There are two theories for how we got this: bacillus cereus in reheated brown rice (the main commonality between our dishes) or a virus like norovirus transmitted fecal-oral, meaning an employee did not wash their hands between the bathroom and serving line. We are each medical students so have a good idea of these things. When I called this chipotle to warn them so no other customers would get sick, the manager who could barely speak English offered me a free burrito if I came in that day (at the time my fever was 102). Spare yourself from unsanitary, unhygienic food and potential food poisoning by avoiding this chipotle.

It should concern Chipotle that this place has such abysmal ratings. Right around the corner on Greenbelt Ed is a chipotle with 4 star ratings. It's cheaper. This place? prices are higher. They have horrible attitudes. It's nasty. They are stingy with portions.

Went to grab a quick take out order. After previous reviews I was seriously scoping out the food prep area for hair! I was relieved to find the ingredients being replaced as I was inline. Secondly the prep people had very short hair or baseball hats on.... Wheeew! Will try it again with slightly less worry next time... Update... This Chipotle continues to be well maintained and awesome to this day

The only reason this location gets 2 stars is because there is almost never a line. I'm sure it's because of the location, because they don't move orders down the line at fast speed. Every time I have been here they seriously skimp on the portions! Chipotle is known for huge cheap delicious eats! And this place will make you sad with the small portions they try to dole out. And when you ask for another scoop of rice or salsa the workers make you fee like they are stealing from their personal stash! And then!!!! They try to charge you for it!!! An extra $2 for rice. I don't think so.

If I could only give 0 stars I would definitely rate it to 0!!! I went to this location with my friend Wednesday night around 7:30 pm. We were expecting to receive a great service since there was only few people in the line, and the lobby was empty. Unfortunately, whether they are busy or not, it does not matter. You will still get the same customer service which is very HORRIBLE! First, my friend requested to flatten the food in her bowl because it was piled too high. Then the lady was like "I CANNOT USE MY GLOVES TO TOUCH THE FOOD." She gave several excuses why she could not do it. My friend asked her to use a spoon, so she did it but the tone of her voice was like she was ANNOYED. When we got to our table, my friend told me she did not know that you can get extra sour cream and cheese. So, I went to the cashier to ask for a side of sour cream and cheese. Then the male cashier asked the lady for sour cream and cheese. She was the same lady who flattened my friend's food with attitude. Do you know what the lady did when she heard I was asking for it? She was actually MURMURING, YELLING in Spanish so I could not understand! I can tell by the look on her face and the way she got the sour cream and cheese. Basically, she wanted to charge me. So I told her, "YOU KNOW I CAN PAY FOR IT, YOU KNOW?" Then she was like OK 1 dollar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked the male cashier if she is the MANAGER. He said, "No. She is not the manager." I asked him what her name was. The rude lady all of a sudden INTERRUPTED while the cashier was still talking! She was like, "KARLA! nice to meet you". It made me think that this lady named KARLA did not finish high school. She does not have manners at all. I was not talking to her, and she just interrupted me. I was so shocked. She was not the MANAGER but she acted like she was and totally acted like SHE OWNS THAT CHIPOTLE LOCATION. When I got back to our table, my friend got pissed that they charged me. So, she went to the cashier to return the sour cream and cheese and asked for a refund. My friend explained to her that it was her birthday, and I was nice enough to get a side for her, since she did not ask for extra cheese and sour cream when she was in line. So, the rude lady handed her a 1 DOLLAR FROM THE TIP JAR and let her keep the sides. She cannot do that. The tip jar is supposedly for all the EMPLOYEES working that day. She was so lazy to do a refund on the register. For your information, this was not the first time she gave us a rude attitude. I've been here a lot of times and every time I ask for extra sour cream she only gives me 1 full scoop and the extra portion would be less than 1/2 TABLESPOON. Again, she gave me 1/2 TABLESPOON. Not the spoon they use in scooping, but the spoon that we use at home. She was also very very skimpy with everything. We were there for 2 hours, and the entire time we were uncomfortable. She was really a mess. STAY AWAY FROM KARLA. Message for the customers out there: If you guys planning to go here, do not let KARLA make your food, if you do not want to have a half empty burrito. She is really really rude and skimpy. Message for the manager/owner: If you want your customers to keep coming back...if you want to have more regular customers...if you want to continue your business, FIRE THAT WOMAN NAMED KARLA!!!

I live in the complex right behind this Chipotle but I will not go back because of how stingy they are with the ingredients compared to any other Chipotle. Go to the one by UMCP campus instead. PLEASE improve this place and I will eat here all the time!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Go here only if you want hair in your food, and an attitude from the employees when you complain about it. As I was stepping up to the counter, one of the employees had just brought over a new bin of rice. There was a large (about 1'), VERY obvious black curly hair lying in the MIDDLE of the new bin of rice. I, as well as my girlfriend, and the young lady behind us (who was probably no older than 13 years old and by herself) noticed it immediately. As I started to order, the employee preparing my food hesitated, looked RIGHT at the hair, and proceeded to scoop up rice AROUND it hoping I hadn't noticed, rather than taking the bin back and replacing it with something more acceptable. I stood there in disbelief as he continued to do that to my girlfriend, the young lady behind us, and at least one other person in line. When I got up to the register, I pointed it out immediately to the cashier. She looked at me as if I was somehow inconveniencing her by pointing it out, then proceeded to dump the bin of rice in the trash and grab a new one from the back. No apology or explanation was offered to me - even a half-a**ed "Sorry" would've been an improvement at this point. I could've easily refused to pay for the disgusting excuse of the word "food" that they provided me with, but decided not to make a scene once the issue had already been "handled" (very poorly). The least they could've done was offer to replace my bowl for me to ensure it didn't happen to have any hair in it. When the young girl behind us had the courage to speak up and tell the cashier that she might've gotten a hair in her food, the employees there gave her the same attitude they gave me. Before that night, this location was already the least favorite on my list because of the oblivious employees working there. After we left, my girlfriend and I decided we're never visiting this location again. EVER. I recommend anyone in the area to drive the extra 5-10 minutes to either their College Park (UMD) location, Laurel location, or Cherry Hill location. Dear Chipotle, This location is a pathetic, disgusting excuse of a restaurant. I'd love to know what you're going to do about it.

After driving past this spot for months I finally decided to check it out. The food was good as usual. Line went fast. At the end the lady accidentally put my food with the lady's order behind me. Luckily she was paying attention and pointed it out just as the cashier was ringing up the food and we were able to straighten that out. I noticed that the seating in the Chipotle' is a little more intimate that other Chipotle's I've gone too. They had this nice little section where the seats are like embedded in the wall...cute little stash away for that intimate conversation/lunch or a quiet place to sit, relax and enjoy your food.

ZERO STARS First off, I LOVE CHIPOTLE. But this is without a doubt the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. I was excited when this location opened because it would become the most convenient for me, but it is so horrible I will not go back. I now go out of my way to avoid this Chipotle. I've witnessed the staff's apathetic response to finding hair in the food. I've also experienced horrible, rude, slow service. Once I was forced to wait while an employee started my bowl, then stopped to do some non-urgent chores and talk while I stood there. After I repeatedly asked him to finish, he seemed to snicker and had me continue to wait. I would've walked out if I hadn't been so hungry. I have never found more gristle in the steak than at this location. Once I also saw the cashier's infant daughter on the counter. He quickly gave her back to her mother when customers appeared. These findings are from multiple visits. I gave them a fair chance. Like I said, this is without a doubt the worst Chipotle I have been to.

I've already come here twice, both times right after shopping until close at the Ikea next door. I really like the decor in this Chipotle compared to the older ones. It feels a lot more modern, yet homey. The servers are pretty friendly and don't skimp out on anything which is appreciated a lot. Tip: try asking for the salad dressing (it's free) at checkout and try it in your bowl/burrito.

I love love Chipotle bowls!!! But unfortunately I've seen some strange things at this Chipotle that have stopped me from going there again like the staff picking hair and dirt from the food as if it was nothing instead of removing the entire container!! Yuk!!...I now go to either Cherry Hill road or the one at Laurel Lakes.

I don't think anyone knows that this Chipotle exists or was even on its way. The last time I was around for a new Chipotle grand opening (I think it was the one in Laurel), I was inundated with facebook events and offers for free burritos and t-shirts. I only found out about this one because I work nearby and my co-worker invited me out to lunch. I don't know how he managed to notice the hidden Coming Soon banner, but I think he was literally the only person in this area who did. When we got there, there were no other people in the restaurant. As someone who's used to the perpetually-swamped Chipotle on Knox Rd, this was extremely bizarre to me. The service was pretty good for a newly opened restaurant. Yeah, it's a chain and they have standard ways of training their employees, but every store always has kinks to work out in the first few weeks. They were really generous with the meat (SO crucial) but stingy with the cheese. My only other complaint is that the salsa was incredibly watery and it sorta ruined my burrito bol by the end. But hey, I can't really be that picky when there's a Chipotle within walking distance of work.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
